Minoa Water, the pioneering Greek company offering water in paper packaging, showcased its commitment to innovation and ecological sustainability during the Beyond Expo, held from May 24 to 26. During a panel hosted by the Hellenic Entrepreneurs Association (EENE), Minoa Water CEO Manolis Tsaldaris presented the company’s full product line in 330ml, 750ml, and 1L paper-based formats—offering an innovative way to consume water. He also discussed the importance of export growth and encouraged consumers to actively support Greek-made products to strengthen the national water industry. Additionally, he introduced three new flavored and vitamin-enriched product variants, offering consumers a refreshing and healthy choice.
As part of Beyond 2023, Oikonomikos Tachydromos hosted a discussion on innovation and entrepreneurship featuring Manolis Tsaldaris, CEO of Minoa Water, and Pavlos Efthymiou, General Director of EENE.
Mr. Tsaldaris spoke about the creation of Minoa Water, which offers superior sun protection, ideal calcium-magnesium levels, and zero nitrates. He acknowledged the challenges involved in bringing the idea to life, noting the support of multinational packaging company Tetra Pak. The effort began two and a half years ago and was brought to market about a year and a half ago. All plastics used in the packaging are plant-based, making the product fully eco-friendly. He emphasized that the market is in urgent need of such products.
The water is sourced from natural springs in Imathia, an area free from agricultural activity, which ensures the absence of nitrates. Even the cap is made from plant-derived material sourced from Brazil. Currently, Minoa Water’s paper-packaged products are being exported to 15 countries.
